Action by Danielle Cirillo
mon 14 aug '07

To achieve ones goals you need to put some drive behind ones ambitions. Action is one way to achieve your dreams. Putting action into something will result in a re-action. I have noticed lately many people say they want this, they want to do that, and I don’t want this and I wish I was doing that. But when the opportunity comes to do something about it, they are too busy and lack the commitment.

A teacher of mine once said if what you put in is ½ hearted the result you receive is ½ hearted. This is so true. When we put 110% into something, we achieve the end result. To keep momentum going you need to be excited about what you are doing. The energy you bring to the project, your passion and enthusiasm can be felt by others around you. If you do something you truly love, people sense something about you.

I recently had this experience. I completed an activity that I love doing, and I felt fantastic! Everywhere I walked that day – people stopped and looked at me and noticed me. They wouldn’t have known why they noticed me, but they stopped and looked, something clicked in their mind that made them stop and notice.

My whole being was buzzing with life, full of joy and happiness – as I just completed something I love doing and this emanated out from my core of my being – from my soul. It was an amazing moment, people were stopping for a split second and looking at me with a curiosity noticing something different and yet had a look of puzzlement as to why they were looking at me. What did they notice, that was unseen and intangible?

When we do something that is in alignment with our soul, and our purpose I believe we have an inner glow. I notice how full of energy I feel doing something I truly enjoy - I am at complete peace.

During the activity I become one with the Universe, the Universe works through me to achieve an end result, and leaves me in this glorious state of being. I surrender to the Universe, and immerse myself in the activity being guided and stepping out of the way to let it evolve. In a sense stand out of the way and let the Universe take control.

Next time you are doing an activity you love, immerse yourself in it, and also let the energy of the activity take control and see what the end result is!

Trust by Danielle Cirillo
thr 26 apr '07

Trust that you are meant to be where you are at this point in time. Life presents opportunities and also situations that interfere with plans and arrangements, all for a divine plan and purpose. For what reason we do not know why.

Maybe there isn’t a known reason, the reason will possibly reveal itself. Maybe it isn’t important – trust the Universe and its divine plan. For the reason may or may not reveal itself. The Universe will be looking after you to ensure you are safe and well.

If you follow your heart, listen to your soul or inner voice, you follow your path and will find true happiness. When you stop listening to your soul or inner voice, and stop following your heart you do not fulfil your purpose, nor do you feel fulfilled or happy. You then resort to materialistic objects and endeavours to quickly fill a void.

Quick fix. Later when you stop and are still, you find you still feel empty and then start consuming and filling your outer environment with perceived needs.

Do you notice some people cannot stop and be still, they are uncomfortable with being on their own? This will be because they do not like what feeling surfaces when on their own in stillness. They are uncomfortable being still and listening to what their heart, soul or inner voice has to say.

After you have filled your life with clutter or chaos, the emptiness is still there and resurfaces when you stop and be still. Unfulfilled dreams, no hope or faith – the vision seems long gone and forgotten. Materialism has taken over. You have lost who you are and who you are meant to be. Lost what you are meant to contribute in this life for the betterment of all mankind.

Mediation, Yoga, Tai Chi and other Chi maintenance exercises assist to connect to our vision, our true path – our souls divine purposes in this lifetime. The clutter around our lives slowly dissipates, and our focus is back on our path.

If you find you do not know your path, remain in a state of trust. Learn to enjoy the stillness, watch and listen to the signs that are given to you. Do you have the same message via different means, via different people? This will be a sign to follow and will lead you back to your path. It will enable to define you, reveal your next step to your true divine purpose.

When you feel unfulfilled, fill the void with meditation not materialism. Through meditation something will reveal itself to focus on, it may be a simple as peace – but can have a profound impact on those around you, which has a ripple effect into the world.

We all can make a difference, if we stop and listen to our heart, soul or inner voice – we are lead by our inner guidance, which is the Universe working through us.

Intention
thr 5 apr '07

Intention is a clear thought about what you would like an outcome to be. For example peace, love, support or balance in our everyday action. One should ask themselves – what is my intention whilst doing this task? We are all faced with tasks and situations that we may enjoy and love, or tasks of necessity. With the correct intent the unpleasureable tasks can transformed and become a source of Joy.

Every action has a reaction. If our actions are from an honourable intent and out of love, or with the intention “ for the highest good of all concerned”, those around us will match this vibration that is being sent out and will respond in a harmonious manner and assist.

Doing tasks out of hate sends out a low energy frequency, and attracts more situations that are vibrating on this level. My intent is to cause positive change that vibrates out to the Universe.

Positive energy resonates on a higher vibration compared to negative energy. The higher all our thoughts and intentions are, higher the frequencies around us will be. As a ripple effect we raise the vibration of those around us, which filters out to every living thing on this plant and throughout the Universe.

We then heal the lower energy disturbances that are with ourselves and are reflected to us in our surroundings filtering out throughout the Universe. We may vibrate on a low energy frequency – what level we vibrate on is what we attract. What we attract on the outer is reflecting what is within us in the inner self.

As humans we have the ability and choice to heal ourselves through thought, intent and visualisation. We have this ability to heal ourselves and to also heal others around us and heal our planet. We have the choice and the ability to consciously or unconsciously fulfil a purpose or destiny.

When visualising and thinking about your intent when doing a task, be clear and picture it in your mind. Once you have the visualisation and intent, release it allowing yourself to have an empty mind – allow the Universe to heal and fulfil what is required and appropriate. Do not force your intent on anyone or anything – allow it to be received and allow the energy of your intent to take it’s own course.

Gratitude
wed 13 apr '07

Gratitude is something I practice every night as a ritual to stop and say thanks to the Universe, God or what higher power you believe in. I prefer the term Universe that I will refer to throughout this article.

Gratitude is a state of being thankful in the present moment of events that have occurred. My last thoughts of the day is a mental review of my day, week. I am thankful for events that have happened during the day. This includes being thankful or appreciative for my surroundings, material objects in my life (like my home), my environment, friends, family and anything else that is relevant and significant for me at that moment in time.

Why practice Gratitude? I believe that daily ritual of saying thank you to the universe for providing our needs and desires sets up an energy frequency to allow more of these things to manifest in our lives on a daily basis. It opens up the doors of abundance allowing more opportunities to come.

Even if I have had a bad day, or something hasn’t gone to plan, I practice gratitude for an aspect of that situation that was positive. If a situation that was presented that I don’t particularly want to experience again – I practice gratitude for the situation in itself by saying thank you to the Universe for providing this challenging situation for my learning and growth. Practicing Gratitude for the events that happen that aren’t so pleasant is a way of acknowledging the situation, and stopping to learn from it so that it may not have to be repeated again. Saying thank you for the learning the situation provided is acknowledging the situation and letting it go so you can move on to more positive events in your life.

In my experience, Practicing Gratitude gives me a sense of fulfilment & great peace. It also reaffirms that the Universe always provides for us, and that we are looked after. Everything that we require and desire is provided from the Universe for our own good and highest good of all concerned.

Letting Go
thr 8 feb '07

The theme for me for the past few weeks has been Letting Go. Letting go means to literally “let go” of the outcome of a situation, detach from it and enjoy the experience.

The past month or so I have been working on a goal that I have had in the pipeline for the past 4-5 years. Now I have been presented with the circumstances and the situations to start being able to realise my dream and achieve this goal. It is exciting as well as scary. It has been a big step, and naturally fear has risen to the surface once or twice along with self-doubt of my skills and who I am. However, each time the fear, self-doubt or any negative thoughts enter my mind I let the thoughts come to the surface. I acknowledge how I feel and then focus on actually doing and achieving my goal filled with excitement.

It is quite daunting to be faced with the possibility of achieving your goal when one has been focusing on what they want to achieve. The time has finally come that I have put into place everything possible on all levels – being physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually. After being so focused on what I wanted and what I want to achieve, it is hard to let go of the outcome, detach and let the hard work return to me after so many years of work and dedication.

The biggest challenge is – what if it doesn’t work? What will I do then? Worrying - rather than focusing on the outcome. There is a time to hold on to a dream and keep it in our mind working towards our goal. When that dream in mind has come to fruition there is the time to let the outcome go and enjoy the experience that it may offer.

Ultimately we can’t control the outcome, we can control how we react to a situation by our actions, thoughts and feelings but let the outcome go. Trust that the best possible outcome will arise. When we try to control and hold on we push away the possibility of achieving what we hope for, rather than letting good things return.

The outcome may not be what we expected, or want – but I honestly believe that with the right intention and wanting to achieve highest possible good for all concerned that it is returned 10 fold.

Situations in our lives that present themselves we find unpleasant give us the opportunity to look at ourself and see what we could do better next time. The unpleasant situation may not be a result of our actions, but presented for our learning and growth on how we handle situations. If we handle every situation with the right intention and attitude – it can make the difference between long suffering or moving through the situation quite quickly.

Any situation that is presented we have no control over the outcome, we can only be responsible for ourselves and control our reactions. Every situation that is presented is a mirror of what we may be thinking or feeling. It is the opportunity to look at ourselves and acknowledge a part of you that you may have not known exists within you– good or bad.

Acknowledging your feelings about a situation and moving through it can be very challenging, it is far harder suppressing it and leaving the situation to get worse. It takes up more time and energy rather than looking at the situation and reacting in a positive way to move through it. The positive is once a situation is looked at and resolved room is created in our lives for more wonderful and fulfilling experiences to appear.

If there is a situation in your life that you don’t like, sit with it and think about what you can do to improve the situation or change it completely.

If you are like me, and have a goal you have achieved – remember to let it go and let the outcome evolve on its own accord. Enjoy what the experience has to offer and learn from it.

Present Moment Awareness
mon 22 jan '07

Another year gone by, life seems to go by more quickly. The years come and go, and for me 2006 was a year that went by very fast. For me 2006 was the completion of some projects, and the beginnings of new ones. I am now facing an exciting 2007 with new options, possibilities & beginnings. I am embracing 2007 full of excitement & hope to have lots of fun along the way.

I am excited about contributing to Blue Orange and writing regularly about natural therapies, healing, metaphysics & what ever else presents for me to focus on. I hope that you find something that will assist you right now in your journey and personal growth.

One of my personal goals for 2007 is to be more aware in the present moment. I am wanting to live my life more in the present moment, not in past or the future, but live right in the now. Which for me is a continual challenge – I always seem to get easily distracted by life. However, I have decided that this year is the year where I am more focused than ever.

The second half of 2006 for me just went by. I stopped doing Yoga mid last year – I have practiced Yoga regularly for over 5 years. I was so immersed in work and other life demands that I neglected what my body needed. I didn’t put my needs first, and as a result I ended up tired, exhausted, drained and full of aches and pains. (Does that sound familiar?) This year I have made that commitment to be back at Yoga, and putting into place strategies that assist me to keep up with my dreams and life’s demands. One of them is to live my life in the present moment. If I stopped and listened to my body and made the time for my needs I would not of ended up feeling so flat.

The now is our point of power where we are at choice to decide what we want or don’t want in our lives. Not dwelling on the past wondering “what if” or looking to the future thinking when we complete a goal or task I will be happy or fulfilled. Not looking into the future thinking I will look at other things in my life that I want after I complete this future task/goal. To change our thoughts, emotions or responses to anything presented in our life, we have to be in the present moment. To fulfil our dreams, goals and life purpose we need to act from the present moment with love and integrity.

The present moment is the only reality. The past and future ultimately only exist in our thoughts. We may have a connection to the past or future emotionally holding on to that moment taking our thoughts to that moment, but being there does not change the present condition. Everything that happens in our lives is created depending on our own thoughts or emotions at that time.

Our outer life is reflected back to us from our inner thoughts or emotions. If someone is difficult to deal with, this is a reflection of an aspect of our inner self. You have to be in the present moment to change your response to a situation. You can’t change some else’s thoughts or responses. Changing your thoughts and responses will reflect to others, and ultimately change their behaviour towards you.

We are at choice, and have the ability to create and change what we don’t like in our lives right now. We are only limited by our thoughts and beliefs in achieving what we want in our lives. The past & future is merely a thought – a point of view from which we can grow, learn and change if we choose. Anything is possible if we truly believe it, and we genuinely feel excited about it.

I encourage you for 2007 to put into place goals and dreams to achieve what you would like out of 2007. I believe one of the keys to achieving your goals is to be in the present moment. As in the present moment you are able to put into place what needs to be done to achieve your end goal.

Spend some time writing a list about all your dreams - don’t judge or dismiss any thoughts that come up just write it all down. Pick 1 goal from your list that is achievable right now. You will find as you start picking a few goals from your list, other aspects in your life change to allow more of what you want, and less of what you don’t want.
